I'm Clive and I welcome you to my page.

Let me tell you a little about myself. I am lucky enough to live on the East Coast of South Africa, some 25kms south of Durban. Lovely, beautiful part of the country, with a stunning coastline. The above picture was taken at our local beach, Baggies Beach, a short 5 minute drive away from where I live. A half hour drive inland from here are a couple of game farms and wildlife reserves, and a further three hours inland from those is the wonder of the Drakensberg mountain range. So we have everything.....sun, sea, beaches, wildlife and mountains all within a few hours drive of each other.

I will load pictures into the portfolio sections below of some of my favourite pictures from each of these destinations.

I will also try to show a range of pictures covering some of my other interests.

Historically, I grew up in Central African countries before moving to the UK, and during all those years was influenced by my dear late father and his love of photography. He always had a camera of some sort to hand, either cine (way back in the day) still or video. He instilled a love of the art in me, and I loved experimenting with some of his older cameras. After a long lapse, and a return to South Africa, this passion was re-ignited, and it happened to co-incide with the arrival of the digital era. My first camera was a Sony, which has since been upgraded a couple of times to Canon equipment. I now shoot with a 5D Mk III.

I have also had an interest in motorsport of various types, and currently try to attend all the events held by the Natal Motor Car Club, shooting rally cars and quad bikes as they compete on a sprint course through sugar cane fields.

Apart from my own pursuit of land and seascape shots, I also shoot weddings, and have been lucky enough to capture some picturesque occasions from the forests of the Midlands, right down to beach weddings held down the coast from me. Weddings are always such happy occasions and it is a privilege being part of the happy couple's special day. I will also post some of my favourite wedding pictures here as well. 

There are pictures taken from around the country....the Midlands (a favourite destination), locally here at our beaches, as well as the north coast, game farms and wildlife reserves, the Cape area and even as far afield as Ghana in West Africa.

I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
